Welcome to the Boroughs Family Branch! It began its operations in 1983 in a small branch office running all of its programs without a facility. Swim programs were run at local hotel pools and child care programs were run out of leased church space and store fronts. The Boroughs Branch, during this time to the present, has provided services and programs throughout a nine town area including: Berlin, Grafton, Hudson, Marlborough, Northborough, Shrewsbury, Southborough, Upton, and Westborough.
Through the years programs and services have grown resulting in the construction of a 62,000 sq. ft. full facility that opened in November 2002. The facility houses a six lane 25 yd. Pool, Full Gymnasium and Track, Rock Climbing Wall, Nature Adventure Zone for Kids, 2 Child Watch Rooms, Computer Room, Senior Lounge, Group Cycling Room, Aerobic Exercise Rooms, and a state of the art Fitness/Wellness Center. In addition, the facility houses a Child Development Center licensed for 62 children including infant, toddler, and preschool age children. Finally, a multipurpose field allows for outdoor programs and summer camp activity.
Outside of the walls of this exciting new facility, the Boroughs Branch continues to provide needed services for the community. The Boroughs Branch oversees the operations of three licensed Child Development Centers and Kindergartens in Northborough, Southborough, and Grafton.
Currently the facility welcomes 14,000 members and provides programs and services to better serve the Boroughs community. A variety of classes are offered with trained, qualified, friendly staff committed to the mission of the YMCA. New members are always welcome and tours are available. |
