Tuscora Park is a public park operated by the New Philadelphia Recreation Department. The amusement park rides are operated by RTY Concessions. The flagship attraction is a Herschell-Spillman antique Carousel that has been operating at Tuscora Park since the 1940's. This is one of only a few all-wooden carousels left. Thirty-six hand-carved, all wood jumping horses and two chariots that travel around 14 original oil paintings. Music is provided by a Wurlitzer-style 153-band organ. The park also has a Ferris wheel, kiddie roler coaster, train ride, miniature golf and batting cages. |
